Carson first started off in cycling. He started competing in the HK Future Cyclist Race at the age of 6, participated in 29 races over a six-year period, winning 26 champions and 3 1st runner-ups. He won the Criterium Race Overall Award for six consecutive years.

His first encounter with triathlon was at 7 and from 2015-2019, he had participated in over 50 races for a 5-year period (approximately 3 Triathlons and the others Aquathlons and Duathlons per year). If no accidents occurred, he will be on the podium.

Carson participated in Port Dickson International Triathlon Malaysia from 2017-2019 and won 2 champions and a 1st runner up.

He joined the Regional Squad of the HK Triathlon Association at the age of 10 and at the same time, he was also a junior squad member of the Cycling Association of HK.

Carson is currently a full-time athlete in the National Squad of HK.
