Valentina’s journey wasn’t always strictly on the sand. She originally made her mark in indoor volleyball, playing a pivotal role in conquering the playoffs for the historic Alfieri Cagliari team. However, the call of the beach was too strong. By 2021, her exceptional performances earned her a coveted spot on the Italian national beach volleyball team, shifting her focus entirely to the outdoor game and setting her sights on the highest levels of international competition.
Making Waves on the World Stage
Since her transition, Valentina has been a force to be reckoned with. Her trophy cabinet quickly filled with golds, silvers, and bronzes from the Italian Championships and the Italian Cup, alongside a commanding first-place finish at the European Zonal CEV tournament in Marseille.
She continues to dominate on the global circuit. Competing in the prestigious Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour, Valentina has battled against the world's best, most recently capturing a hard-fought bronze medal alongside partner Jessica Allegretti at the 2024 Beach Pro Tour in Corigliano.
