Skookum Creek is a route that has been historically decommissioned for kayaking because of hydro dam development. Due to Covid19 and lack of energy needs in British Columbia, the dam was opened to full flow letting all the water pass through, effectively returning to its natural flow state. We are one of the first, and maybe one of the last to ride this beautiful Creek again for a long time.
